COMENIUS - SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS COMENIUS - SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS “Environmental Heritage: how to protect it?” Project Meeting in Azores, October 2009 1 – LOGO: Activity was made and well done during the first year of the project. Logos are available on the webpage and blog. 2 - LANGUAGE GUIDE: Activity was made and well done during the first year of the project. Language guide is available on the webpage and blog. Print: each school is free to find the best way to print it. 3 – BLOG - http://goaenvironment.webcindario.com/: Activity to be continued but each school should improve it participation, respecting the blog calendar as possible and writing more comments. So each school will address the blog for 2 (two) weeks. In those two weeks, they must write an article in English (every article should be signed) related with two main topics: 1 - Climate change (from 1st November 2009 until 31st January 2010); 2 – Invasive species (from 1st February to 30th April 2010) and the possibility of moderating all comments - 1 (one) moderator per school. Each school would work only one in every 12 (twelve) weeks. Sweden will start to write the first article, then Azores, Spain, Romania, Turkey, Italy and so on. But in the case that you have an interesting article that you want to include in the blog, and it is not supposed to be your week, you can also do it without any problem whatsoever. 4 - PAMPHLETS: Activity should be concluded this school year. To remember: The pamphlets will be the result of the study of places with environmental importance which will have the most relevant environmental heritage (natural and built) elements of those areas (e.g. fauna, flora, historical and architectural aspects, …). Each school does the pamphlets in their mother tongue and who thinks it is very important translates it into English. Spain and Azores will do the pamphlets in English. During the students and teachers´ exchanges all the information should be explain in English in order to achieve communication and languages skills and competences. Print: each school is free to find the best way to print the pamphlets. Each school puts the pamphlets on the webpage if possible. 5 – NEWSPAPER:
6 – WEBPAGE: Webpage created but should be improved (http://gaia.istituto-scalcerle.it/). Each school should improve its participation. First read the Gaia manual (available on the webpage – Europa; Prints; language guide and after info for webmasters) and in case of any doubt, send a mail to Beppi - Italy (beppi.zambon@tiscali.it). Italian’s suggestion: to put pictures or photos with 72 Kb maximum; 250 pixels maximum. Italia can send mails to all schools asking about the material for the webpage. 7 - e-twinning Platform: All schools are registered on the e-twinning Platform (www.etwinning.net).
